MISSOULA – There was cheering and some traditional German Music with a bit of a twist at Caras Park on Sunday.
Folks come from all over for Germanfest which celebrates German culture, food, music, and beer while also acknowledging Missoula’s relationship with their sister city in Germany.
The event leaves a lasting impression on some folks here in Missoula including Sami Talhami who moved to Missoula four years ago.
“It keeps me young. It gives me a purpose to wake up now. If you put yourself in the age of 71, you’d be like these guys sitting here of the rocker. I’m not. I feel like I’m 25 or 30 years old," Talhami told MTN News.
Talhami also volunteers at local high schools teaching different languages.
