MISSOULA – Ninja Mike’s has become a staple to the Missoula food scene without even having a brick-and-mortar location.

But now they do.

Ninja Mikes’ new, more permanent, location is in Mountain Line’s downtown transfer center.

Their menu might have changed a bit, but they are still dedicated to local food sources.

The typical farmers market sandwich will stay at the market, but there are plenty of new options like the Costa Rican Gallo Pinto.

It took about a year and a half for the vision to come together, but owner/operator Ethan Siegel says Mountain Line was helpful and encouraging through the process.

Coming from a food stand at the Missoula Farmers Market, Siegel says only a community like Missoula could support such a rise.

"The Farmers Market, the support of the people who come down there is what got us here to where we are now," Siegel said. "We were able to put up fundraising to raise money for the equipment that we needed to put in to the space and that was a majority of the Farmers Market people stepping up and contributing to that fundraising cause that we had and they just keep showing up. They’ve supported us for ten years now and they haven’t stopped. It’s, honestly, that’s a huge piece of this puzzle is the community and their support. Absolutely."

Ninja Mike’s also has their own special blend of coffee thanks to their collaboration with DrumCooffee. It is called El Timbalero and you can get one as soon as they open at 6:30 am.
