UPDATE
KALISPELL – One man died after a vehicle versus pedestrian collision occurred Saturday night.
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office along with Montana Highway Patrol were dispatched to US Highway 2 in the area of Packers Roost at around 9 p.m.
According to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene and had been identified as Derek Perez from Columbia Falls.
Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino told MTN News on Monday morning that Perez died as a result of blunt force trauma.
The Montana Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
