2 Yellowstone Co. residents pass away to COVID-19 related illness

BILLINGS — RiverStone Health, Yellowstone County's public health department, reported Wednesday morning that two Yellowstone County residents had passed away due to COVID-19 related illness.

On Friday, July 24, a man in his 70s passed away at his home, and on Tuesday, July 28, another man in his 70s passed away at home.

These most recent deaths in Yellowstone County are reflected on Wednesday's state COVID-19 tracking map, as the state has now recorded 54 deaths.

"Our deepest sympathies to family and friends of the deceased as they mourn their loss," Yellowstone County health officer and RiverStone Health president and CEO John Felton said in a press release.

"Each passing of a Yellowstone County resident is a tragic reminder of the seriousness of COVID-19 and I urge all Montanans to take the very simple but effective measures we all know to prevent more untimely deaths."

To date, 25 residents of Yellowstone County have passed away due to COVID-19 related illnesses.
