MISSOULA — Local public health officials report that a ninth Missoula County resident has passed away due to complications related to COVID-19 infection.
This marks the second COVID-19 related death reported in the county this week.
The Missoula City-County Health Department (MCCHD) reports the resident passed away due to "COVID infection and related complications."
"We wish to extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends impacted by this loss," a social media post states.
The individual was middle-aged or older.
MCCHD is continuing to urge county residents and visitors to continue practicing COVID-19 prevention measures.
