HARDIN — Big Horn County health officials reported the county's 45th COVID-19 death on Tuesday.
Health officials said the fatality involved a man in his 60s who was hospitalized prior to his death on Monday.
The death marks the fifth COVID-19 fatality in Big Horn County in November. The county fatality rate is 2.6%, or 45 deaths out of 1,703 total cases, health officials said in a press release.
"The Big Horn County COVID-19 Response Unified Coalition is deeply saddened by his passing and extends our thoughts and prayers to his family, friends, and the entire community of Big Horn County on his loss," the press release states.
The county reported its 44th COVID-19 death on Monday.
