HARDIN — Big Horn County reported its 52nd COVID-19-related death Tuesday, along with 10 new cases.
The decedent was a woman in her 50s who had been in the hospital.
It's the county's fourth COVID death in December and pushes Big Horn's fatality rate to 2.6% (52 deaths out of 2,011 cases).
Of the 10 new cases, two were asymptomatic and eight had symptoms. Four likely contracted the virus through community spread, while the other six were traced to other known contacts.
One previously-reported patient, a woman in her 60’s, was removed from the total confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 below as she was later determined to be a duplicate reporting from November.
