Big Horn County reports 65th COVID-related death

HARDIN — Big Horn County reported on Monday that another county resident has died from complications due to COVID-19, bringing the death total to 65.

The person who died is a woman in her 70s who was hospitalized prior to her death on Monday.

Big Horn County currently has an overall COVID fatality rate of 3.0%; the rate increases to 20.8% for the 70-and-older age bracket.

According to data compiled by MTN News, there have now been 1,018 deaths in Montana due to COVID-19.
