RAVALLI COUNTY — On Friday, Ravalli County Health officials confirmed another positive case of COVID-19 while also confirming the case is being treated as community spread as the department is unable to trace the case back to travel or exposure to another case.

The woman is in her 70's and a resident of the county, officials confirmed through a press release.

The person is currently in isolation at home and contact tracing has begun.

The new case now brings Ravalli counties total to eight, with out of state cases not being counted on that list. All eight cases are in isolation and their contacts are in quarantine.

Three of the 27 total cases in Ravalli have been out-of-state visitors.

Not all of the 27 cases have had symptoms when they were tested. Through contact tracing, the county has referred people to be tested and they have come back positive.

However, some of the cases have had severe symptoms such as fever, headache, sore throat, muscle pain, cough, and shortness of breath. Two of the 26 cases have been hospitalized and recovered.
