PLAINS — Clark Fork Valley Hospital in Plains is distributing COVID-19 vaccines to healthcare workers in Sanders County.

A social media post notes that CFVH has administered 88 COVID-19 vaccines to healthcare workers and long term care residents so far.

“We believe we will meet the Montana State goal of having the first vaccinations for healthcare workers completed by January 15th, and long-term care residents by February 26th.”

Clark Fork Valley Hospital President and CEO Dr. Gregory Hanson previously stated that the hospital has not been notified when further vaccines will be available for the public.

The next phase is expected to start on Jan. 15 and will include persons 75 years and older, American Indians, and frontline essential workers – including first responders, education and childcare providers, and grocery store workers.
