Missoula County reporting 8 new COVID-19 cases

MISSOULA  — Health officials are reporting eight additional confirmed COVID-19 cases in Missoula County.

The Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map showed two additional cases in the Tuesday morning update.

The Missoula City-County Health Department was reporting a cumulative positive case* total of 220 on Friday morning -- including three epi-linked cases**

The latest numbers show there are 56 active COVID-19 cases in Missoula County. To date, there have been 163 recoveries and one death.

Local health officials additionally report that four out-of-county people are hospitalized in Missoula County due to COVID-19.

Missoula became the first major city in Montana to require the wearing of face coverings on July 9.
