New COVID-19 cases confirmed at Polson schools

POLSON — A confirmed COVID-19 case is being reported at Polson High School as well as at Polson Middle School.

Polson School District Interim Superintendent Tom DiGiallonardo says in a letter that was sent to parents that they were notified on Thursday about the high school case and on Friday in regards to the middle school case.

One case is in a student who last had contact with others at Polson Middle School, on Nov. 16. DiGiallonardo states that identified close contacts are in the process of being notified by local public health officials.

DiGiallonardo states Polson Middle School will remain open at this time.

The other case, which was confirmed on Thursday involves a student at Polson High School. The individual last had contact with others at Polson High School, on Nov. 18.

Polson High School is still operating with no additional restrictions in place.
