HAMILTON — Inclement weather across parts of the country delayed COVID-19 vaccine delivery in the Bitterroot.

Ravalli County Public Health reports it had enough vaccine to cover those scheduled for their first vaccine. They also worked to reschedule residents due for their second dose of vaccine for next week.

The county health department received 300 doses of Moderna that were due in last week along with this week's allotment of Moderna vaccine, according to Ravalli County Public Health Director Tiffany Webber.

A total of 700 doses of vaccine were received. The Ravalli County Health Department transferred 100 doses to Bitterroot Drug and 100 doses to Corvallis Drug.

Residents interested in receiving COVID-19 vaccinations with Ravalli County Public Health are asked to sign up online. People should submit requests to the appropriate “Phase” category.

Public Health will begin to contact registered residents by phone to schedule appointments. It should be noted that the Ravalli County Public Health office has an unusual 802-prefix phone number.

The latest vaccination numbers from the Montana COVID Tracking website show that a total of 7,360 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Ravalli County and 1,840 people are fully immunized.
