An additional 53 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases are being reported in the Bitterroot.
Ravalli County Public Health notes that as of Wednesday there are 342 active cases of with an additional 454 awaiting a laboratory review.
To date, there have been a total of 842 confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Ravalli County including 530 recoveries and nine COVID-19 related deaths.
Ravalli County Public Health continues to encourage all residents to limit social contacts and act responsibly to reduce the spread of illness.
Ravalli County Public Health Director Tiffany Webber motes that the department "is working to review all reported positive labs and conducting interviews with those diagnosed with the illness. We will continue to keep the county informed as we work to determine the most accurate and up to date active case count."
"It is more critical than ever that we come together as a community and support each other," Webber stated in the update.
"Public Health would like to thank all the school nurses and school staff that have worked so hard to not only provide a safe environment for learning but education, compassion and support to many families in our community."
People diagnosed with COVID-19 are asked to follow the below recommended guidelines:
- Please isolate at home away from others in your household
- Notify any close contacts that may have been exposed
- Close contact instructions can be found at the Ravalli County website
- You may return to normal activities 10 days from when symptoms began, provided symptoms have improved with no new symptoms and no fever in 24 hours.
