MISSOULA — There are some changes this week at the Missoula County COVID-19 Testing Center.

Due to elections activities at the Missoula County Fairgrounds testing services will be limited on Tuesday.

However, starting Wednesday, same-day testing will be available based on resources. The testing clinic’s same-day service still requires an appointment, but no referral or prescription is needed.

Missoula County residents and Missoula health care workers with cough, fever, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, a new loss of taste or smell, vomiting, or diarrhea, may qualify for free testing at the clinic.

The Missoula City-County health department hopes that with increased access to testing that they can identify additional cases of COVID-19 so that they can do contact tracing and mitigate additional spread.

People with COVID-19 with symptoms are encouraged to call 406-258-INFO (4636) and select option two to speak to a nurse.
