MISSOULA – A 61-year-old Flathead County man is claiming he’s innocent of several counts of selling and possessing illegal arms, including explosives and a machine gun.

Bruce Boone Want made his initial appearance in U.S. District Court last week on charges stemming from an investigation that led to his arrest in Marion last June.

Federal prosecutors claim Wann sold the illegal weapons and explosives to another person in Marion, Kila and Kalispell.

Those included an “improvised grenade” and dynamite. He’s also accused of the illegal sales of an RPB Model M-10 machine gun, another rifle with no serial numbers, a sawed-off 22, a stolen AR-15 and shotgun and silencers.

Judge Dana Christensen ordered Wann to be at a pre-trial conference next Wednesday. A trial date hasn’t been set.

The judge also granted an order protecting the identity of informants that had been used in the case, except to defense attorneys.
