MISSOULA – Family and friends of a man found dead near Dixon earlier this month believe there’s a connection between that fatal shooting and a double homicide at a Missoula motel last Friday.
Preston Rossbach, one of the men suspected of committing a double homicide at the Mountain Valley Inn Friday made his initial appearance in district court Tuesday morning.
Rossbach is accused of killing two and injuring another person with JonWhitworth who was arraigned on Monday.
Rossbach’s case was filed directly to Missoula District Court and his arraignment was set to take place Tuesday but the Office of Public Defenders is still figuring out who will represent him.
Rossbach’s initial bond was set at 250,000 and will remain at that amount until he has been appointed a public defender to make a bond argument.
His arraignment is scheduled for November 13 at 9 a.m. and during that time Rossbach will enter his pleas for the two homicide charges he is facing.
Rossbach is from Agency near Dixon where earlier this month William Conco Camel was found dead by Sanders County Sheriff’s deputies.
During Rossbach’s court appearances family members of Camel held signs suggesting that Rossbach had some sort of connection between the murders at the Mountain Valley Inn and Camel’s death.
Ever since that fatal shooting earlier this month Camels family has been calling for a more aggressive investigation.
The Sanders County Sheriff’s Office released a statement on October 5 saying that they had three persons of interest in association with the investigation into Camel’s death.
Sanders County Sheriff Tom Rummel told MTN News on Tuesday that the office is sticking to that statement.
Rossbach pleaded guilty earlier this week to a Minor in Possession charge in Missoula Justice Court.
