MISSOULA – A man who admitted to bringing meth to Kalispell for distribution will spend time in federal prison for the crime.

Christopher George Nomura, 35, has been sentenced to five years for the possession with intent to distribute charge and another five for possessing a firearm during the crime.

Nomura pleaded guilty to the charges in August after officers arrested him at a Kalispell hotel in 2016 during a trafficking investigation.

He was in possession of two pistols and a baggie of meth when found. Nomura admitted to agents that he and an accomplice drove from California to distribute meth in the Kalispell area.

Once Nomura finishes his sentence, he will be on supervised release for an additional five years.
