Billings police offering reward for info on November murder outside church

BILLINS — Billings police are offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a suspect in the murder of a man killed outside a Broadwater Avenue church in Billings in November.

Manuel Martinez was shot and killed around 8:50 p.m. Nov. 30 outside the Evangelical United Methodist Church near the corner of Broadwater Avenue and Fourth Street West, where he was known to frequent.

A man was seen fleeing the scene. He was described as slender, around 6 feet tall, wearing a black hoody, dark pants, white shoes, carrying a backpack, and wearing a hat.

Martinez' body was discovered after a passing motorist ran over him. The motorist was not believed to be involved.
