Details emerge in Missoula police pursuit

MISSOULA — Court documents have revealed further details on the police chase through downtown Missoula over the weekend.

Law enforcement received a report of a stolen Chevy pickup truck on Saturday and located the vehicle downtown being driven by 32-year-old Andrew Burd. Police then attempted to pull Burd over, but he did not comply.

Court documents state law enforcement and witnesses saw Burd ignore multiple stop signs, traffic lights and also exceed the 25 mph speed limit as he circled through downtown.

Authorities were able to apprehend after a vehicle crashed into the pickup truck that Burd was driving. Missoula Police report they recovered stolen property including a guitar and amp from the vehicle.

Burd is scheduled to appear in court for his arraignment on April 13.
