MISSOULA — A man is facing a felony charge for sexually assaulting a minor after allegedly abusing a young girl more than 10 times in the past two years.

The Missoula Police Department received a report in October of 2019 that a 9-year-old was being sexually abused.

According to court documents, the girl told her school counselor about the offenses, who then reported the incidents to authorities.

The girl said a man -- later identified as 36-year-old Travis D. Lohman -- went into her bedroom at night and got in her bed multiple times between May 2018 to October 2019, according to court documents.

Lohman admitted doing so to detectives.

The Missoula County Attorney's Office requested an arrest warrant for Lohman who was booked into the Missoula jail on Friday.

Lohman is being held on $75,000 bond.
