MISSOULA — The Missoula Police Department reports it is investigating a suspicious death.

Law enforcement responded to a call on the 3600 block of Stephens Avenue on Sunday, Nov. 3 around 9 a.m.

Missoula Police spokesman Sergeant Travis Welsh says officers found a dead 42-year-old man when they arrived. Sgt. Welsh says the death is believed to be due to unnatural causes.

Nancy Wright, 47, was arrested Tuesday night and is being held on felony deliberate homicide and misdemeanor criminal trespass to property in the Missoula jail.

Wright has not been formally charged by the Missoula County Attorney's Office.

Missoula County Undersheriff Rich Marcelli identified the man as Philip Benjamin of Missoula.

Cause of death at this time is undetermined. The coroner is waiting on cause and manner of death.

This is an ongoing investigation.
