Officials release name of Billings teen killed in weekend shooting

BILLINGS — Officials on Tuesday released the name of a 17-year-old Billings girl killed in a weekend shooting.

Dacey Cheyenne Moore died early Sunday morning of a single gunshot wound to the head, said Yellowstone County Coroner Cliff Mahoney.

The shooting happened inside a residence in the 800 block of Wyoming Avenue at around 5 a.m., according to the Billings Police Department.

A 17-year-old male was arrested. His name has not been released. Police said he was being held by youth services on a possible homicide charge.
