THOMPSON FALLS — A woman is facing one count of deliberate homicide for allegedly shooting her ex-husband five times after she says he tried to rape her.
Rachel Bellesen told law enforcement that her ex-husband Jacob Glace had attempted to rape her on Oct. 8 and that she then shot Glace near the Orchard’s swimming hole near Paradise.
She then called her current husband and met him in Hot Springs where they reported the shooting to law enforcement.
Court documents say that Bellesen helped law enforcement locate the body of Glace off of Montana Highway 200 in Sanders County.
Bellesen is currently being held in Sanders County jail and her initial appearance in court is scheduled for Oct. 27.
