Smoke is visible from a lightning sparked fire just southeast of Clearwater Junction in Powell County Monday afternoon.
The Department of Natural Resources and Conservation responded to the fire Saturday afternoon burning on Elevation Mountain. DNRC spokesperson Kirsten Mortenson says the fire is about six acres by Monday afternoon.
Mortenson says they had a heavy suppression response on Saturday with retardant drops and single engine water tankers dousing the fire.
On Monday there are hot shot crews and helicopters dropping water on this fire.
