WHITEFISH – The Red Caboose location in Whitefish has a new tenant after an unexpected closing last May.

It was a popular location for high school kids and families to get frozen yogurt and coffee in town.

The owner of Fleur Bake Shop, chef Whitney Brien, saw a great opportunity when she found out that the Red Caboose was looking for a new tenant.

Having vacationed in the valley, Brien fell in love with the area and decided to bring her talents to Whitefish.

With over ten years of pastry experience, Brien’s bakery has become so popular she’s outgrown her current location which is off the main road in Whitefish.

While business is good, she’s looking forward to moving to the old Red Caboose location on Central Avenue.

“It’s great for the business and it’s needed for the business because we’ve quickly outgrown our space here. Summertime is so crazy that we just run out of fridge space and we can’t offer as much as we’d like to,” says Brien.

You can see Fleur in its new location by May. Brien told MTN News that she’s doing serious renovations to the current Red Caboose.

The new Fleur bake shop will have an outdoor seating area and a sliding glass door.

Brien is also looking to hire 10 new people for the new, expanded, location including baristas, pastry chefs and a host.
