Dozens mourned the loss of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg at a vigil in Great Falls on Saturday.
The grassroots observance took place outside the Cascade County Courthouse around 8 p.m.
Cascade County Commissioner Jane Weber and former commissioner Bill Bronson spoke at the event, as mourners waved candles and flashlights.
"I suspect she would not want her many friends and supporter to mourn, but rather to celebrate," Bronson said in a speech at the event, "to carry on where she has left off."
At one point, a car drove by the courthouse, with the driver and passengers yelling, "We love you, Ruth!" The moment was met with applause.
Great Falls Rising, which describes itself as a nonpartisan progressive group in Cascade County, organized the event in part.
Ginsburg died at 87 on Friday afternoon due to complications from metastatic pancreatic cancer.
