MISSOULA — Crowds of shoppers lined the aisles of Kohls, Cabela’s, and more on Black Friday. While many planned for specific items to buy, others caved under the pressure of all the good deals, leaving with more than they intended.

Shopper Hollis Poe said, “We pretty much took care of our Christmas shopping right here. Didn’t intend to, just came for one item and it’s like 'one item and we’re out of here, right?' Didn’t work out that way because...too good of a deal.”

Jim Lindquist echoed Poe’s sentiments, saying, “We knew kind of what we wanted, but it all changed once we started buying.”

Lindquist didn’t waste any time with his Black Friday shopping. He was out the door before the sun came up, and by noon he still had three to four more stops on the list.

But for Hollis and Jeannie Poe, this might have been their first and their last Black Friday.

Poe explained, “I have never been in town shopping on Black Friday. And my first experience was, the parking lot’s completely full. Then we walk into the store and there’s a line that goes all the way around the store at least once.”

Whether shoppers hopped from store to store or merely made one stop, it's clear that nothing beats a good bargain.
