Families safe after two house fires in Lockwood

Fire has destroyed two homes in Lockwood.

The Lockwood Fire Department responded around 10:00 Saturday morning to 270 Bonnie Lane.

The home at 1119 Island Park Road also caught on fire.

Everyone was able to safely get out of the homes.

A family of four with girls ages 5 and 4 escaped out the back door.

The husband and father said a neighbor knocked on the door to tell the family about the fire on the porch.

Neighbors took the family's two dogs to safety.

The landlord said a couple lived in the other home.

The woman, whose husband was not home, got out safely.

A Yellowstone County Sherrif's deputy, American Medical Response and a Lockwood Ambulance also were on scene.
