Stevensville fire departments along with other area entities conducted a training exercise on an abandoned home located on Stevensville School property off of Park Street in town.
The exercise was a controlled burn on a building that was set to be taken down and it all started around 8 am Saturday morning.
Florence fire, Three Mile fire and both Stevenville's rural and city fire all conducted a training exercise that lasted over 5 hours.
The opportunity to conduct a controlled burn like this is rare so when they happen the departments like to get together and spend as much time as they can coordinating and conducting the exercise.
