KALISPELL — Main Street and retail businesses became operational Monday with reduced capacity and strict physical distancing guidelines under Governor Steve Bullock's phased reopening.
Coins and Carats in downtown Kalispell opened their doors with extra safety measures in place for both employees and customers.
Sneeze guards were installed throughout the store providing safe interactions for customers buying or selling product.
Coins and Carats owner Kim Love said all employees are required to wear face masks when dealing with customers, and extra sanitation stations are located throughout the store.
Love said extra safety precautions will be enforced for the foreseeable future.
She added that some safety measures will remain permanent, even after restrictions pass.
“All the protection will all stay up, that was permanently installed," said Love. "We’re just going to move forward and try to keep a lot of these safety precautions in play, even after everything is lifted.”
Coins and Carats are also experimenting with new business hours, accommodating customers with new work schedules during the phase one reopening.
