Leaf collection has started up in Kalispell.

The Kalispell Public Works Department will be collecting leaves around the city through Nov. 15.

Residents and business owners are being asked to rake the leaves from the boulevard onto the street, approximately two feet away from the curb.

People should have leaves ready to the curb by the start of the program to not miss collection.

City officials note that there is no set timeline for when crews will reach certain areas, however, crews make every effort to remove leaves as quickly as possible.

Leaves will not be picked up outside of the leaf collection season, which is subject to change due to weather conditions.

Please contact Public Works at 406-758-7720 for how to dispose of leaves after the leaf collection season, or click here.

Bagged leaves should be placed in the alley behind your residence and will be removed with alley cleanup.

Residents area asked not to place rocks, dirt, cans, bottles and branches in leaf piles because they may cause bodily injury and damage to machinery.
