KALISPELL — A number of Montana State Troopers are growing out facial hair this Month in support of No Shave November.
Highway patrol men have scrapped the typical clean shaven look for a mustache or beard.
No Shave November participants grow out facial hair to raise cancer awareness and start conversations involving cancer education.
Montana State Trooper Laramie Stefani says troopers will donate funds normally spent on grooming to cancer research.
“The money that we end up spending on shaving and grooming, we save for the whole month and we donate that at the end of the month to help with cancer research and to aid those who are battling cancer,” said Stefani.
No Shave November programs across the country raise thousands of dollars for cancer research each year.
Trooper Stefani says he looks forward to shaving his mustache December 1st.
