The rafter who died in a rafting accident last week near West Glacier has been identified.
Flathead County sheriff Brian Heino identified the man as 43-year-old John Fitch of Kalispell.
On June 21st, Fitch was rafting on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River when his boat was overturned by rapids.
Fitch was wearing a life jacket at the time of the accident.
