One family in Great Falls is celebrating Donald Hogan's 90th birthday Saturday, April 25th, while social distancing.

Horns honking filled the air outside of Donald's home as he sat on his front porch and greeted his family and friends.

Michaela Munsterteiger, his grand-daughter is so thankful to spend this time with him. "Today is grandpapa's 90th birthday, and we originally had planned for all my aunts and uncles and cousins who live in Washington to be here and soon a big celebration. But with everything that's been going on, we couldn't do that. So, we decided to do our own thing and show him that we still want to celebrate only in a different way," says Munsterteiger.

She also explains a little bit about him, "He's just a very family-oriented guy. He's always there for all of us. All our family celebrations are usually here at him, at grandpas house. It's just been great growing up with him as a grandpa."

Donald is no stranger to Montana, and he's been inducted into the Cowboy hall of fame.

"He is a grown-up cowboy. He was from gold Creek, Montana, just a rancher, and then moved here in Great Falls. He used to work in the cattle business. He's a member of the Cowboy Hall of Fame".

Michaela also says they are so happy to be able to celebrate his 90th Birthday.

"It's a significant number for him. I know I was talking to him and he said he didn't expect it to be that old, but I know it means a lot to him. He's still around to the here with all of us through our different occasions and everything like that, just a big deal to be 90. A lot of accomplishment."
