Two gyms in Great Falls are coming together to host a gymnastics meet to raise money for State of Montana Gymnastics out with their competition costs.

The two gyms competing in the Montana State Cup are Great Falls Gymnastics Academy and Rock N Chalk Gymnastics Academy.

The meet started Saturday at the Mansfield Convention Center will go on until Sunday, January 12th at 2:00 p.m.

“This is an amazing year the gymnastics association puts on a state cup and those funds pay for the gymnastics to go to a clinic. Every other year it off sets a lot of those costs. The rising costs are terrible. So, it’s really great that they offer a meet that goes towards every child that is in gymnastics in Montana,” says Brenda Wriggle Owner of Great Falls Gymnastics Academy

To these girls, gymnastics is more than a sport, it’s a family.

“Since I have been here for so long it feels like a home to me,” says Tayah Osier who has been a gymnast for four years now.

For Kenzie and Tayah who are both in Gymnastics say for them it’s a sisterhood.

“We go through a lot of stuff together like sometimes crying and getting frustrated and stuff like that, but they always help us through it” says Tayah Osier

But the girls do have one piece of advice, “Keep trying no matter how hard it gets just keep going because it will get better”.

If your wanting to donate to either gym you can contact Brenda Wriggle for Great Falls Gymnastics Academy, or Michaela Simmons for Rock N Chalk Gymnastics Academy.
