Governor Bullock recognized mental health providers for their response to COVID-19.

The National Alliance of Mental Illness Montana donated more than 14,000 masks to medical providers statewide including facilities that provide mental health services.

The Mental Health of America Montana Warmline has been working with the Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) to provide additional mental health needs. The warmline typically receives over 300 calls in one month. Over the month of April 2020, they have received over 500 calls related to mental health.

According to DPHHS, calls to the Montana Suicide Prevention Lifeline increased to an average of 25 calls per day within April 2020.

NAMI Montana encourages everyone to remain mentally in control during this pandemic.

“We do want people to know, work on your mental health and try to control the things you can control because in times like this, there is a lot you can do to make sure you’re weathering the storm,” says Matt Kuntz, NAMI Montana Executive Director.
