MISSOULA — Sunday morning the Paddleheads hosted a Clark Fork River cleanup, and provided registered volunteers with all the supplies needed to help make the river look spotless.
Starting at 10:30 a.m. Sunday participants cleaned from the California Street bridge to the Madison Street foot bridge.
Cleanup captains were on hand to help with bio-hazardous materials or any other needs from the volunteers.
A wide variety of volunteers showed up to the event -and one talked about the importance of projects like this.
"Its super important ,this area specifically gets a lot of use from floaters from people walking by, we biked here on this trail so there are a lot of people around and so its important to make sure its clean for everybody that’s using it," said Gracie Sanford, a volunteer.
Lunch was provided by Five on Black for all the participants and social distancing measures were taken to keep everyone safe.
