UM Police have asked the public to avoid the area as they continue the search.

According to an university emergency alert, University of Montana Police and Emergency Services responded to a woman getting assaulted while hiking on the M-trail at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
The woman was hiking in an area north of the M-Trail and down from the M.
Medicial evacuation is in progress.
Suspect described as white male, 30-40 years old wearing black pants, black shirt and baseball cap.
Last seen heading further up the mountain.
People are advised to avoid area.
This case is currently under investigation.
