Normally this is the time of year friends or family would go to music festivals and shows across the country, as nice weather means festival season is here, but with the COVID 19 pandemic things have changed.

In the place of in-person festivals fully online ones have taken their place and MTN News spoke with one organization who thinks this might happen more and more in the future despite the pandemic.

"Its very strange and with that people are kind of finding new ways to stay connected with each other especially being stuck at home but with being no festivals right now i mean people are kind of still desperate to look for any kind of semblance of that same experience right now," said Leiva.

Electric Hawk founder Dariel Leiva says that when festivals and artists started canceling shows due to COVID-19 they looked for a way to fill that void while helping people in the electronic music industry.

"When it comes to that we wanted to try and find a way where we could benefit the artist completely and a way to involve everyone that has been kind apart of our journey as electric hawk for the last 2 3 years. So this festival is the embodiment of that. We have been sure to book people we have been involved with," said Leiva.

And while this seemed like a fix to a problem of the time Leiva thinks it might be a sign of things to come.

"We just kind of keep adding to this culture of what we feel like I feel like personally is going to be the norm for the foreseeable future. We see these other major festivals cancelling in august right now and every other week we hear of some other festival like one in October got cancelled Halloween I think. That's so far from now that it raising signals and I feel like we need to just start adapting to find other ways to provide entertainment," said Leiva.

So Electric Hawk plans on doing more online festivals like harmony in the future .

"This is just going to be the beginning of everything this festival its going to be the beginning of so much more," said
