BROWNING — The American Red Cross of Montana has opened a shelter at the Blackfeet United Methodist Parish in Browning on Sunday as a winter storm continued to hit the area.

Some areas have received more than three feet of snow and high winds that are creating blizzard-like conditions.

Red Cross shelters provide meals, information and access to other community resources. All services are free and everyone is welcome.

No reservations are needed and service animals are allowed. Families who need services should call the Montana Red Cross at 800-272-6668.
