MISSOULA – A busy downtown Missoula street was closed off for several hours so that the season’s first Sunday Streets event could take place.

From pedal-powered smoothie makers to taekwondo, a wide array of businesses and organizations had their booths set up in the middle of Higgins Street. Chalk drawings and skateboard ramps peppered the road as foot and bike traffic took over downtown.

“We’ve definitely seen people that have never actually been in the shop,” said Board of Missoula owner Chris Bacon. “Since they’re out and about walking around [they] just take some time to…see what we have. “It’s a really cool opportunity…here on South Higgins to just put a bunch of obstacles in features out there…in the street. It’s awesome!”
