Crews find man missing near Lolo Peak

UPDATE

MISSOULA – A man who spent nearly 12 hours lost in the woods of Western Montana was found safe on Sunday evening.

The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office reports that searchers found the 19-year-old man at approximately 8:30 p.m.

The 19-year-old man is in good condition after being found in the area of Lolo Peak by Missoula County Search and Rescue volunteers.

MISSOULA – Crews are looking for a man who has been reported missing in the Lolo Peak area.

The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office reports that members of Missoula County Search and Rescue are currently looking for a  missing 19-year-old.

Authorities say the man went missing at approximately 8:15 a.m. on Sunday between Carlton Creek and Little Carlton Creek.

The Two Bear Air helicopter out of Whitefish has been called in to help in the search.
