MISSOULA – Krispy Kreme doughnuts and the Montana Highway Patrol partnered up over the weekend to raise money for the Montana Hope Project.

The Montana Hope Project offers up kids with critical illnesses the chance to live out one of their wishes. In addition to raising money, the event offered the community a chance to meet MHP troopers.

“Today was good. There was a lot of positive feedback from the public. Everybody that I talked too loved the work that we do,” MHP Trooper Nick Navarro told MTN News. “Very appreciative of everything that we do for them out there on the road.

“It just gives you a good feeling that you go out there to do a certain job and then when you meet the public and they tell you that you’re doing that job they give you a sense of gratitude for that,” Navarro added.

A portion of Krispy Kreme sales for the day was given back to the Montana Hope Project as they continue to grant wishes.
