MISSOULA – It’s that time of the year again when Western Montana residents open their hearts and their wallets to feed the hungry.

And one Missoula couple was leading the way as the 24th annual Guerrilla Turkey Drive gets underway under partnership of Cherry Creek Media and KPAX.

Robert Bradley Jr. and his wife Dawn showed up at the Cherry Creek studios bright and early with their little Dodge Neon packed with turkeys, 40 to be exact.

A big boost to early donations for the annual drive to help food banks and pantries in Missoula and the surrounding communities.

“If you’re going to do it, go big or go home. So, we’ve done some different charities in the past when I lived back in Massachusetts, like the Teddy Bear Toss and things like that. But the last four years I’ve lived here in Montana I’ve heard about the Turkey Drive and been wanting to help. But unfortunately things were tight and harder earlier. But this year things have been going really good for me and my wife and we decided to give back to the community. And I was seeing how many turkeys would fit in a Dodge Neon and we got forty in there and probably could have fit another 8 if we wanted to. I’m just glad I’m able to give back when I can. And hopefully the 40 here will let everyone know, hey, if you do one turkey, two turkeys, anything that anybody can do to help out is greatly appreciated by everybody.”
