MISSOULA- The Missoula Lions Club has donated almost $14,000 to local charities like the Missoula Food Bank, Meals on Wheels, Watson Children’s Shelter and more.

They also have been able to give more than $15,000 to help Missoula residents in need get access to eye exams and supplies.

The money they are able to give to these charities comes from their annual Christmas tree sale where they also have wreaths for purchase.

Missoula Lions Club treasurer David Tyrell says they look forward to the event every year.

“Well I think it’s a win-win for really everybody. We have great fun doing it. We like interacting with the people who come out with their families, with the kids, they’re  all so excited so it’s a great fun project to do and we raise a lot of money for charities at the same time,” said Tyrell.

The sale is taking place at the Missoula County Fairgrounds from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. for the next three weeks.
