MISSOULA – Construction on the new Russell Street Bridge in Missoula has been temporarily halted for the holidays.

Crews are taking a break from construction during the holiday season with work set to resume on January 2 on the Russell Street – Broadway to Dakota project.

Dick Anderson Construction crews will begin building the new bridge in 2019 and vehicles will continue driving on the existing bridge until the new one is completed.

Work on the $29 million bridge is the focus of continued construction, and minimal delays are to be expected once construction resumes.
