FRENCHTOWN – Drivers heading through Frenchtown on the north side of Frontage Road on Monday can expect delays of five-to-10 minutes as construction crews work to stabilize a slide near the Frenchtown irrigation ditch.
The slide happened as a result of modifications made to the hillsides in a previous project done to improve driving conditions.
Traffic control flaggers will be stationed near far west pit entrance and lighted signals will be positioned on either side of the slide.
The work will begin at 8 a.m. each day and workers will be present until dark.
The Montana Department of Transportation estimates that work will be in progress five days a week for eight-to-10 weeks.
