LOLO – The Lolo community is searching for person or people who have been distributing flyers around the community at night dressed in all black.

The flyers seem to be in support of a proposed border wall in the US, a debate that has brought the federal government to a stand still in the ongoing partial government shutdown.

Reports have been filed with the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office who, are now looking into the matter.

While the flyers themselves are not considered an illegal or a dangerous act by law enforcement, the manner in which they were distributed have drawn concern from the residents of neighborhoods where they were distributed.

“The whole situation is completely suspicious,” said Lolo Neighborhood Watch Coordinator Tim Jacobs. “Normal people, no matter what their message, you know, this one just appeared to be someone supporting the border wall. Most normal people do that during the day. They go door-to-door, hand you your stuff that’s free, you know we just did that for election season. 3 o’clock in the morning wearing all black? Normal people don’t do that.

If you have received a flier or have information about who is distributing them you can call the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office to file a report.
