MISSOULA – Ribs and briskets are smoking up the Southside on the corner of Brooks and Reserve.
Missoula’s popular BBQ joint, The Notorious P.I.G., is officially open for business at its second location.
Known for its slow-cooked meats and St. Louis style BBQ, the restaurant is featured on the Food Network, the Travel Channel, and is the winner of many local awards.
The new location is inside a remodeled Jiffy Lube, and people are finding it despite not having a phone number or address in google maps.
Moving always comes with a few growing pains, says restaurant owner Burke Holmes, but he hopes the new location will serve Missoulians on the other side of town.
“We’re kinda becoming more efficient every single day, putting things where it needs to be. A lot of times I’ve been working and reach for something where it used to be downtown, and it’s not here, so it’s kinda fun. Were sifting through it and figuring out how to grow with it. But it’s been wonderful.”
Holmes said he’s worked on the new restaurant for a year, and is excited to finally be open.
